To count your chickens before they hatch to get everything ready for when they come, or not count them until they actually do, then handle things as they come?
The problem with planning and expecting is that when things don't turn out how you want them to, you'd get super upset and disappointed.
The problem with not planning or expecting, is that you'd be so unmotivated and just going through the motions without a direction.
So where do you draw the line?

While expectations can bring disappointments, it's the way that we bounce back from those disappointments that matters. There's no failure if you keep trying, it's just delayed success. Disappointment can be disheartening, but I know u're much stronger than that. Keep trying, don't give up.
